Passengers on the Atlantic transport liner Minnowaska, which arrived in the Thames on October 10, had some thrilling moments, when it was discovered that a largo Bengal tiger, belonging to Bostock's menagerie, which was mi board; has escaped from its cage. ■ The menagerie hands wcro summoned, and, armed with firearms and iron bars, they cautiously made search. The tiger was discovered on the. back of an Indian sacred cow, lapping tlio blood from a wound in its neck. Eventually the tiger was driven back into its cage.
