BOWLS.

RESULTS OF SATURDAY'S PLAY. Good "weather favoured the bowlers on Saturday afternoon, when all greens were fully occupied. It was a visitiug day—a fashion which has been greatly developed by the centre—and on nearly every green were half a.dozen rinks from other clubs engaged in. amiablo rivalry. There, is nothing attached to these games—outsido the i pennant matches—but they serve to promote that social intercourse for which tho fraternity is noted. : On Saturday afternoon there, was a good deal of light raillery indulged iu at the.expense of tho clubs included, in the Wellington South and Suburbs No-License electorates. These aro tho Wellington,' Nowtown, and To'• Hiwi Clubs (the Hataitai Club's green has been found to bo in the Wellington East electorate) ; . In the case of .'the Wellington Club, it is considered that it has been the victim of-a freakish tuni in, the minds ' of tho Electoral Boundaries Commissioners, who foritho mere, sake of getting a 'street'line'for a- boundary have brought , tho Wellington ..South boundary along Abel Smith Street to its western .end, down Upper Willis Street, along Wordsworth Street, and up'the Ohiro Road,'so that while tho Wellington Club's green is in the Wellington South' district, tho places 'twenty yards along AYordsworth Street on tho same sido are in Wellington Central. •Aβ a result of the new Licensing Bill, only tea and soft drinks were obtainable , at tho Wellington Club's pavilion on Saturday afternoon.
