DIVORCE ASKED FOR, The Chief Justico (Sir Robert Stout) heard on Saturday morning a divorce case, in which Elizabeth Alexander M'lntosh petitioned for dissolution of her marriage with John M'lntosh. The petitioner, who was represented by Mr. 'I?. M. Wilfordj said she was married at Brnnnorton in April, .1901, to th© ! respondent, and' they lived together subsequently at' Brunner, Allandale, and Blackball, and,had one child. Hβ left her in June, 1905, arid she had supported herself ever since. She only discovered liis whereabouts'a few month's ago, and she thereupon , went to. Huntly, whero he was worl;ing"as a miner, and personally served the petition upon him ln'tho presence of a constable. - Counsel put in a letter from the respondent's solicitors (Messrs. O'Regan and Dix), stating that there was no intention to defend the case. A decree nisi was granted on the customary terms. Costs were not asked for; Two divorce .petitions—Buckinaster v. Buckmaster, and Keen y. Keen —will be heard by the Chief Justice this morning.
