In addition t<j 'draught horses, Mr. Tockor is'a' breeder of Romnoy-Marsh' sheep. Tho' Lake Meadows .flock was originally founded.by Mi'. J. Wilkinson about thirty years, from .sheep which camo from ,tho Lincoln . flock. SincG then, there -have.been, introduced ;strains from tho Matthews, Eglinton, and Pharazyn'.breeds'. This year'. Mr. Tooker is using' Riddiford and Short rams. Mr. Tocker has had no troublo in disposing.of his stud rams, and several of theso have- been sold to Hawko's Bay _ breeders.' Lake Meadows is an admirable farm for breeding stud sheep, and last year the two-tooth ewes there averaged each over ton pounds of wool, while there were 80 per cent, of lambs. ,'rho owes were fed on native grass , for the whole year. Tho stud flock'now comprises about 250 ewes.
