The two. mobs were shorn this. season, when it was found that the woolof- each was generally of an entirely different character. The wool from tlie -'.limestone country was of a stronj harsh nature,' whild that from tliomibblo was of fine' silky'' texture,, and of much superior'■ quality.' . Mr. AV. Perry, the well* known Penrose breecler, has made : similar experiments with similar re-, that he has found that ■ his silkiest wool was produced from more clayey pastures than that of lime'- ■ stone.
