Notwithstanding this, on Saturday last fifty volunteers travelled by the: train leaving Lambton at. 1.10 p.m.,-...0n orders issued by the Defence Department, and returnee! by an earlier. train' than - the special arranged for their conveyance. I have to notify you that in future volunteers and riflemen will not be allowed to travel except by the trains provided for their conveyance, and'shall be glad if you will kindly notify all concerned-ac-cordingly, so that annoyance may not be caused them when they' are refused permission tp travel by the ordinary trams.
