A few weeks ago'tho members of the present Opposition in Parliament were photographed in a group, and the result was an excellent picture. . Last night the members of the party met and presented framed copies of the group to tho two "Whips, llr. C. A. C. "Hardy and Mr. R. Heaton Rhodes. Mr. Massey (Leader of the Opposition) and several members of tho party compliincnted tho Whips upon their work during a lengthy session and also upon tho good feeling that had prevailed iiv the party. Tho Harbour Board on Wednesday had before it a letter from tho Union Steam Ship Company asking what days would be observed by the board as holidays at Christinas and New Year. The chairman stated that in most of the awards it was provided that if Christinas or Now Year's Day fell on a Sunday it should bo observed on tho Monday following. It was agreed to observe M onday and Tuesday, December "G and 27, and Monday, January 2. Sheep, cropping, aiul fattening farms, situatedin tho Wairarapa, aro advertised in this issue by Nieol and Edwards, land agents, Mastorton.
