Mr. Winston Churchill, Home Secretary' docs not intend prosecuting' Suffragettes who are simple obstructives, but will proceed in cases of malicious damage to property. Early to-day,, during a fog, Sufrragettes attacked tho Premier's residence with stones and weights. They smashed tho lower windows. Some wero arrested. Mr. Birrell is confined to liis bed as the result of the assault on him by Suffragettes. WHAT MR, ASQUITH'S PROMISE - MEANS. (Rec. November 25, 0.10 a.m.) London, November 24. "The Times" states thai the Suffragettes have not yet fully realised the significant fact that if tho present situation of pnrties is unaltered, Mr. Asquith's promise will enable Parliament to make a stupendous change, altering the basis of tho electorate. Woman's suffrage is now an issue of tho election.
