J.jig drink question was dealt with by the missioncr, and twelve men ' signed the-pledge cards. A feature of the overnng was tlio demand for en^ cores. _In the absence' of the hostess,- ->• ilr. Webster responded to tho cheers! Light refreshments were dispensed, and men. provided with reading matter to en- : - liven the voyages.
