' Mr. S. Eeyner, of Parkvale, sustained a fractured , collarbone on Sunday through, the horso which he was riding catching its foot in a rabbit burrow, and falling. The Bev. L. Thompson, who has been attending the Presbyterian Assembly at Auckland, returned to Carterton on Saturday afternoon. " . .There was a good attendance at: the Pleasant Sunday Afternoon meeting, when Mr. Pragnell, of Jlasterton, gave an interesting address. On Sunday next,. a "rally" takes place in the Victoria Hall, ■Tho local railway station yard at pre-_ sent presents a busy appearance, on account of. the.trucking of wool from the various sheep_ runs in tho district. A proposal is on foot among local tobacconists to institute statutory hours of business, as follow:—Week night up to 8 p.m., Saturday 11 p.m., and Thursday 1 p.m. . . ■ .-..-..■.■
