— « WATER AND SEWAGE' SCHEMES. 4 special meeting of the Eastbourne Borou»h Council was held on Saturday evening, to consider reports upon , the water-supply and sewerage schemes. A report h»d originally been obtained from lit. Rounthwaite concerning water supply, and, for purposes of confirmation or otherwise, a second report hart been obtained from Mr. Mestayer. This second report and the-same-engineers report upon a sewerage scheme for the- borough were taken at tho meeting. After full discussion, it was resolved, on the Mayor's motion, that steps be- taken to place- the Uw> schemes before tho ratepavers with a view to taking a poll on the following issuos:-(l) for the water supply schcrflo (2) for the water supply and sowerago schemes; >and that-lho statutory public meeting bo new on .Saturday, January 28. Those present at the meeting were the Mayor (Mr. H. W, Shortt), Councillors O"an, Robertson, Boss, Busrell, Sanson, and Wills..
