WOOL, TALLOW AND SKIN SALES.

— d CITY 81-WEEKLY SALES. Messrs. Dalgety and Oompany, Limited, report having held their fortnightly sale of wool, skins, hides, and tallow yesterday afternoon. There was the usual attendance of buyers, and competition was good. Wool: Only bag lots were offered. We quote:—Crossbred, 73d. to Bd.; crutchings, 4Jd.; locks and pieces, 4Jd. to 5Jd. aneepskins: As compared with last sale, prices show a slight advance for all good quote:—Crossbred good, bad. to 73d.; crossbred medium, 5Jd. to 6id.; ?ij i broken and damaged, cij* 6d.; half-woola, 5Jd. to 6Jd.; lambs, 03d.; lambs groen, 10d. to Is. 6d.; crossbred green, ss. to 7s. 6d.; pelts, salted, Is. sd. to Is. lOd. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on' their sale yesterday as follows We offered a large catalogue to a full attendance. of buyers, who competed eagerly for everything offered. Skins showed a rise of jd. to id. per lb., whilo hides were on a. par with last sales. Ltd., report as follows:—At our fortnightly salo yesterday wo offered &. number of bags of wool, and a. large quantity of sheepskins and hides. : As customary at this time of the year a largo proportion'of the skins offered consisted of station and baek-country lots. Bidding was keen and prices were 011 nbout a level of last sales for wool and skins, whilst hides, if anything, were firmer. Levin . and Company, Limited, report:—We held our fortnightly salo yes- | terday, when wo offered a small quantity of- wool, 1600 sheepskins, 500 hides and calfskins, and a quantity of tallow and horsehair. There was a good attendanco of buyers. Wool: Only fadges and bags wero offered, which sold at current rates. Skins: Firm, and good competition. Green skins advanced. Messrs. Murray, Roberts, and Co.; Ltd., report:—Wo submitted a catalogue of 2800 sheepskins, 500 hides and calfskins, and a small Quantity of bag wool and tallow.. Competition was genoral, prices' being maintained at' last sale's rates for wool, sheepskins, and tallow, while hidos showed .an occasional advance in value. Following is the range of prices obtained:—TOool: ■Crossbred flcece, 7id. to Bid. per lb;; pieces, bellies, and crutchings, 4d. to 5Jd.
