* ANNUAL MEETING. .. • The fourth annual meeting of the To Aro Sailing Club was held at ArinitV rooms last ovenirig. The-presi-dent, Mr. Georgo Winder, occupied tho chair.. There was a good attendance of members. Tho report and balanco-sneet (previously published) wero read and adopted. Tho balanoe-sheot showed • tho, clue to bo in a very satisfactory " position, the assets amounting to £20 7s. 6d., while tho liabilities wero nil. A letter was received from the Thorndon Dinghy Club offering a cup for competition. On - account of the conditions under which the cup was to be presented it was decided to decline the offer. ■ It was docidcd to set up a special coinmittco for tho purpose of revising tho present rules of tlio club. Five new members were elected. Tho election of officers resulted as follows;— President,. Mr. Georgo Winder; vice-presidents, Captain Post, Messrs. E. J. Ward, and G. Jackson; secretary, Mr. F. Cooke; lion, starter, judge, and time-keopor, Mr. K.. -Little; treasurer, Mr. M. Harnill; auditor. Sir. S. E. Forbos; handicapper,,Mr. J. Barnard; committee, Messrs. S. M'Williams, J. Barnard, G. Hamill, L. M'Gregor, and R. Ward. The club' will probably open ite season next Saturday.
