S, ■; Tho sailors, in port on Wednesday night were entertained '.by Mr. Eath- \ bone (Lower .Hutt).' Tho contributors; to a very taking' programme were: Mrs.- A. Warburton, the Misses W. Parsons, Hall, and . Eathbone (2), and Messrs. Stevens, Foulard (E.M.S. i Kuahine), Domb,. and Gardner, The encores were many and insistent. The ;. missioner, Mr. Moore addressed the audience on the temperance question. His subject was "Held bv;tho.Enemy,"., and .' fourteen men pledged .themselves,"to so- - brioty. .At the conclusion of the concert the prizes won in competitions' werepresented, hospitably dispensed and cheers ■, given. Fifteen parcels of reading matter ■■: were given to outward-bound crews. : . .
