Representatives of all the cable companies doing business with England, at a meeting convened by Mr. Nathan, decided, practically, unanimously, in favour of half rates for deferred .messages. . A sub-committee was formed , to fix details. The general feeling was that the experiment should at present be confined to Great' Britain and Tier possessions only, but should be applicable to extra-Euro-pean territories, . Messrs.- Primrose' and Coghlan (AgentGeneral for New South 'Wales).represented the Pacific, Cable Company.
