LECTURE ON THE ARGENTINE.

ii-im" Q e occasion of a lecture entitled the Argentine," by Mr! J. H. W Cook the Assembly Hall at the i.M.UA. building last evening held a fair audience/considering the state of the weather. The lecturer touched on the history, progress, religion, and mission work connected with that, country for a number of years past in a very fluent, manner, adding many little stories and anecdotes,which made the address exceedingly attractive. A very interesting fcaturo of the lecture was tho lantern slides. The lecture will be repeated to-night in the Kent Terrace Presbyterian Church schoolroom at 7.30 p.m. A collection will be taken up in aid of the Regions Beyond Missionary Union.
