The 'Wanganui Chamber of Commerc9 : yesterday considered in committee a letterfrom the Minister of Agriculture, refusing to appoint a dairy produce grader to Wanganui, but asking for details in connection with the local dairy companies " offer to pav a portion, of the salary of the Patea grader on condition that he>' divided bis time between here and Patea.. Representatives of the various dairy factories attended the meeting, and submit- - ted an' offer, tho terms of which have not been disclosed, but which, it is said, are> of such a generous nature that tho Gov-;. eminent can hardly refuse it. .
