* —.— '. AN APPOINTMENT. (By Telegraph.—Press.. Association.) Auckland, November 15. Tlio Presbyterian General Assembly Ims accepted as ministers the Revs. Hugh Bcggs, Charles Porter, 1 and S. A. Riinderson, from the 'Methodist Church; also the Rov. Graham Balfour, M.A., 8.D., from Melbourne, ai\A 'the Rov. Win. Rowlands, a tcaelior of tlio "Welsh Church, from Queensland.' At tlio sitting this evening tile Rev. P. B. h'raser was appointed superintendent of homo mission work, in Now Zealand, the salary being fixed at £300 with house allowance'of £100 and expenses, not to exceed £100 for the first yea r. A discussion took placo on the question of stipends and at motion by tlio Rov. R. Wood that tlie minimum bo ifixod at £200 per year, in addition to tlio manse,, was referred to a committee.
