PARTICULARS TO DATE.

A report on the working results of the City Corporation Electric Lighting Department, during 1 the month of October last and for" the current year to date, was presented yesterday to the Tramways Committee by Mr. Stuart. Richardson (engineer and manager).

The revenue for October shows a do-, creaso of ,£2i, and the expenditure an increase of .£6lB as compared with October, 1909. Included in.the expenditure, however, is a special item of ,£742, being part cost of the removal and of boilers in the, station. The distribution expenses are also high, principally due to the large renewals ,of lamps .required on the public lighting. General expenses have increased by .£ll9, of which .£62 is due to can%-assimj and showroom expenses. ."'-■'' After allowing for proportion of the year's capital charges,. the net result to date, after charging .£957 to the. removal and re-erection of boilers account, is. a credit balance of .£sßll, as compared with JG5017 for the corresponding period of last year.
