With regard to tho drowning of Charles Stanley, a seaman at Waikawa, on Saturday, dragging, for the. body has sincebeen unsuccessfully continued at low -water. Deceased, it is believed, resided at Port Chalmers, and is said to have a sister living at Winton. This is the first calamity of the kind for twenty, years at Waikawa. THE DEATH OF MR. GLEN M'LEAN-.: Greymouth, November U. The inquest on the Otira fatality closed with a verdict of accidental death of Glonallan M'Lcan through a fall over a precipice causing fracture of the skull.
