The following bands have entered for the North Island band contest which is to be held at Palmerston North in ruary:--A grade: Wanganui, Wellington, and Westport Garrison Bands; Petone Municipal Band; Thames, Mornington, Kaikorai, Waihi, Federal, Dunedin, and Palmorston North Citizens Bands.. . B grade: Gisborne City Band, Onehunga Municipal Band, .{Taranaki Garrison Band, Opunake Band, Wanganui City Band, Waitara Muncipal Band, Greymonth Battalion Band, Ashburton Temperance Band, Marton Junction and. Marton Bands, and Dannevirke Band. The entries for the solo competitions are already very large.
