NEREHANA, ARRIVES FROM HOME. Tho Tyser Liner Ncrehana arrived at Wellington from London, via way ports, and berthed at tho Taranaki Street Wharf yesterday at, 8.25 a.m. Leaving London on' September 7, tho vessel's voyage was marked with a succession of gales and heavy seas the whole way to Melbourne. At. the latter port tho Nerehana was docked for repairs to her steering gear, on account of an accident, particulars of which have already appeared in Tfik Dominion of October 28. Leaving Molbourno on October 22, the steamer called at Sydney. Auckland, and Napier, arriving at Wellington as stated above.

After a voyage of 62 days the Norwegian barquentino Lindstol, under cnuaKoment to load timber at Port Esperanco for New Zealand, arrived at Hobart, from Bahia, Brazil, on October 28. During July, August, and September, no fewer than sirty-three ships of a total tonnago of 104466 tons, arrived at Sydnoy from New Zealand. For the same period last year 543 ships, totalling 1,283,560 tons, entered Sydney. On or about November 27 tho Aparima is to leave Calcutta for New Zealand ports, via Singapore and Samarang, Auckland being the first port of call in tho Dominion. Tho Waitemata, to sail about the end of the month, will como to Now Zealand direct, probably making Lyttelton her first port of call.

On Saturday it was stated in these columns that water had found its way into ono of the holds of tho F.-H.-S. Line's Morayshire at Dunedin. As a result of the examination into the cause of this, it has been discovered that somo of the bilge pipes arc cracked. The damago to the pipes' is supposed to bo due to stress of heavy weather on tho voyage out. The Morayshire is docked at Port Chalmers, and tho damaged pipes arc being replaced. The cargo in tho hold was principally iron and iron pipes, and tho damage is not extonsive. ■ The Union Company has been advised that tho Kaitangata left Eddthburg on November 2 with a cargo of salt and timber. She sailed from Hobart on Wednesday for Bluff, Dunedin, and Lyttelton. After leaving Lyttelton slio comes on to Wellington. Tho Amelia Sims has a load of produce from Lyttelton for Wellington,. and upon completion of discharge here proceeds to Havelock to. load for Lyttelton. H.M.S.. Pioneer left tho Bluff at 6 p.m. on Saturday for a cruise in connection with tho drilling of Royal Naval Reserve men. . ' At -6 a.m. on Saturday the Waipori left Te Kopuru with a load of timber for Melbourne.

.Tho Shaw, Savill and Albion Co.'s Kai Ora left Port Ohalmors for Gisborne at 7.45 a.m. on Saturday to load for Home. Tho vessol is expected to clear -Wellington finally for London on November 27, and will'catch the January wool sales.

The Rosamond is bringing 1000 cases of cheese, and the Corinna 13,000 cases of butter. Tho Wakatu, which was to havo left Wellington for Kaikoura and Lyttelton yesterday, ha 3 been detained in port. Consequently she will not leavo hero until 4 o'clock this afternoon. Laying-up berths at Port Ohalmers are never vacant very long about this time of tho year. The New Zealand Shipping Co.'s Opawa is the latest addition to the "lay-up" fleet. She takes the berth vacated by the Paparoa. - Mr. T. M. Barr, late chief officer of the Rosamond, went north on Saturday to join tho Whangapo. ■
