NEW ORPHANAGE. (By Tt-leeraph— Press Association.) Auckland, November 13. The Presbyterian General Assembly continued its session yesterday morning, the business being mostly of a routine character. lir the nfternoon the majority of the members of the' Assembly were present at the laying of the foundation stone of the Leslie Presbyterian Orphanage at Remucra, the ceremony being performed by the Mayor. In tho evening a social gathering was held. Business will be resumed to-morrow, when the Home Mission and Maori Mission reports will be dealt with. The Rev. P. B. Eraser (of Lovell's Flat, Otago), tho Rev. G. Cameron (TJunedinj, and tho Rov. G. Lindsay flnvci'cargill) were nominated for tho-omco of moderator of the Presbyterian Assembly next year. Mr. Lindsay secured a majority vote, and was subsequently elected unanimously.
