At a special meeting of the Masterton Chamber of Commerce held to-day a resolution was passed requesting tho members interested to ask the Minister if. the Government would be prepared to sanction a deviation of the Rimutaka railway provided that the settlers on the eastern side of the range would guarantee 4 per. cent, interest on : the cost of tho work.
