IMPERIAL CONFERENCE.
STILL NO INVITATION.
Three questions by Mr. Arnold, M.P. for Dunedin Central, with reference to the Imperial Conference and the Coronation celebrations were the subject of replies by the Prime Minister in the House of representatives yesterday. Replying to a query as to whether any notification had been received from the Colonial Office fixing tho date for the Imperial Conference, Sir Joseph Ward said that tho proposed date had not yet been advised, but he had suggested that towards the end of April or the middle of May would be convenient. Asked whether he would at an early date state what had been decided as to sending a delegation of members of Parliament to the Coronation in June next, and would he give the House an opportunity to discuss the proposal, Sir Joseph replied:—"No invitation in tho direction suggested has been received, and consequently nothing has been decided. Should any proposal come to hand during the session the House will be consulted.
