OUR TRADE IN TALLOW.
EXPORTS AND SALES. New Zealand exported less tallow in the last four months than it did in the corres-ponding-four months of 1909. The. decrease was 1578 tons—from 5882 to '4304. : October's contribution this year was 664. tons, of which 160 went from Wellington,' 120 from Wanganui, and 110 from Christchurch. Respecting the four months' periods Wellington and Christchurch show the: heaviest decreases.. Wellington's 'export fell from, 1568 to 918, and Christchurch's' from 1090 to 796. - : ; .•

Dalgetyand Co., Christchurch, give the figures for the periods ■ as : fol-: low (the figures for the four months of; 1909 being given in • parentheses):—lnvercargill, 307 (492); Dunedin, 295 (292); Oamaru, 23 (51); Timaru, 402, (431); Christchurch, 796 (1090); Blenheim, 61 (34); Wellington, 918 (1568); Wanganui, 244 (172); Waitara, 122 (172); Napier, 353 (441); Gisborne, 143 (379); and Auckland, 580 (760). The exports.during October of this year, were':—lnvcrcargill 73 tons; Dunedin, 38; Timaru, 15;,Christchurch, 110; Blenheim,: 7; Wellington, 166; Wanganui, 120; Napier, 70; Gisborne,l3; and Auckland, 52. . # The sales of tallow in New Zealand during last month amounted to 97 tons.
