FUNDS FOE A UNIVERSITY. Cape Town, November 6. Mr. Otto Beit has agreed t,o divert to tho oreation of a teaching university at ■Groote Schuur" (the late Mr. Cecil Ehodes's property) £200,000 bequeathed by Mr. Alfred Beit for tho foundation of a university at Johannesburg. Sir Julius Wernher, of Wornher, Beit, and Co., gives .£300,000 for the same purpose.
