UNLICENSED BOOKMAKERS.
FORTY CHARGES. (By. Telegraph.—Press Association.) Christchurch, November 4. , No fewer than forty charges against unlicensed bookmakers of trespassing on Kiccarton racecourse during the Grand National Meeting were dealt with at the Magistrate's Court to-day. All the persons charged pleaded guilty. Some were convicted and ordered to jjay costs,, and others wero fined varying amounts.
