A contract has been let for tho orec.-' tion of a public hall at Eastbourne. The building, which is to bo of ono story, and constructed in wood, will include an auditorium measuring 60 feet by 32 foot, nnd a stage with a floor siiace of 32 feot by 19 foot 6 inches. There will bo iv dressing-room at tho front of tho building on either side of tlio main doorway, and other dressingrooms and offices at tho back behind tho stage. Tho hall is being .erected for Mrs, Forbes by Messrs. Williams and Chapmmij of .Wellington.
