'Messrs. Dalgoty'and 00. report :-At out Dannovirke sale yesterday there was a medium entry of stock of all classes! but, owing to .the Palraerston Show, there was not the usual attendance of buyers. Notwithstanding this, however, there was good competition, and all sheep sold under the. hammer. In cattle no.. large lines wero offered, but,- with- two exceptions, all lines .were cleared. Woolly owos, with lambs, sold from 16s.' lOd. to 18s. 9d.; fat and .forward woolly owes, 175.; two :and four-tooth.woolly wethers, 16s. 10d.; woolly empty ewes, 13s. 6d.; short ditto. 9s. '3d.; good woolly mixed-sex hoggets, lis. to 14s. Id.; medium, 10s. sd. to 13s,j fat heifers, 118s.; heifora. in milk, 80s.; yearling Heroford steers, 655.; two-year • Holstein bull, 117s. 6d.. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile) Agency Company report :-At Wostfield' yards on Wednesday we held our weekly sale of fat stock. There' was an average yarding, and prices were the sarao as last week, ox beef selling to 235. per ICOlb.;. cows, 18s. to 21s. Steerß.sold at from £6 10s. to £9 17s. 6d.; cows and heifers, £3.le#. to .£8 7s. 6d. Oalvcs were penned inlarifo numbers, and sold. at. lower rates. Medium weight 6old at from 25.1. to, £2 ; 7s. i others', 35.. to 205.,; Fat sheep wore penned in usual numbers, and sold at.lower rates. Woolly ewes. sold to 195.; shorn wethers at from 15s. to. 18a.; ewes, 12s. to 16s. "A ; small EDn of extra choice wethers realised 255.ambs wero also' penned in the usual numbers,, and sold at higher rates, • hithough quotations are not as high as those of last .week... Beat lambs sold at from 16s. 6cl. to 18s. Jd.i others,. 12s. to Us. Pigs were yarded in small numbers, and sold nt late rates.
