EX-SHAH, AND HIS PENSION,

November 1, 10.40 p.m.) Toheran, November 1. , .The Government is alleged to have discovored a letter from the ex-Shah urging the Turcoman tribe to support the rebels in the Mazandoren Province, and has consequently resolved to cease to pay tllG pension of £16,500 promised him during good behaviour. ; The British and Russian Ministers, however, informed the Government that two of the Legation servants would wait upon the Foreign Minister until tho instalment was paid. The servants, followed the Minister everywhere for two days and spent the .night in the Minister's private residence. Thd instalment was then paid. BRITISH BLUEJACKETS LAND. WITHDRAWAL REFUSED. Teheran, October 31. The Persian Government has requested the withdrawal of the bluejackets recently landed at Lingah, on the Persian Gulf, to prot:ct the town against a threatened attack by a notorious marauder. . Tile British.Minister refused to order the withdrawal of the sailors until the danger is past. Kashgai tribesmen raided the Jewish quarters of Shiraz, one of the chief trading ports in Persia.
