SUMMARY AND FORECAST. The weather was stormy about Fovoaux Strait on Saturday morning, but fair elsewhere, with a high barometer everywhere. Pressure decreased in the south early on Sunday, and mild and cloudy weather prevailed, but with freshening nortberlics, especially in and south of Cook .Strait. Present indications aro for high westerly winds, veering to soufchcrlicß shortly in all parts of tho country. Rain is probable generally, and a cold snap is likely to follow, with snow on higher levels and frosts inland. Tho barometer will probably rise everywhere soon. D. 0. BATES.
