(By Telegraph.—Special Correspondent.) Shannon, October 31. A debate on tho pros and cons of freebold v. leasehold took place at Shannon this evening. Mr. J.' G. Cooper championed the former, while Mr. G. Laurenson, M.P., took th eother side. After debate Mr, Laurensop moved; "That, in the opinion of this meeting the time has arrived when the Government should ceaso to sell the public estate." This was eventually carried by 45 votes to 30. Mr. F. W. Venn was' in tho chair.
