Education' . -Board, Visited the Normal School and addressed.the pupils of the school and students . of the Training. College. ; He congratulated the college upon : the excellent work it had done. It was important to .. the.educational,system/that'the' teachers .should, have a thorough knowledge ■of their profession. From the Normal ' School the -partys .went- to ! -West' Christchurch, where his Excellency addressed the children. He was greatly, interested iri the oadets asking, for a special review, which was carried out in a - workmanlike manner by the boys. Afterwards he went to Aldington'"School, • the most up-to-date building of its kind . in the district,. He addressed the children and congratulated ■ the city on having such a well-equipped' building. At Lord, Islington's request tho cadets paraded and. marched . past in review order.: He praised them- warmly for 1 their-smart drilling.;:
