One pint of milk, .2 tablcspoonsful of ground ricei lbz. butter, 1 tablespoonful of sugar,' 2 eggs, a few drops of essence of vanilla. -Bring'tho-milk to the boil; mix the ground, rice with a little eold milk, pour on the boiling milk, and return to the saucepan. Boil until thick; ■ then add:the sugar, butter, and •vanilla, ' : and when cool the beaten yolks, and add' the whites beaten stiff.
