AUCKLAND LAWYER'S ANXIETY.
MOTION TO SHOW" CAUSE.'. Mention was ma'de in the Court of- Appeal yesterday of- the case of J. I?. Pullen, solicitor, of Auckland, who has been summoned by the Auckland District Law .Society to show cause why'-lie should'not fie dealt with under the punitive clauses of the Law Practitioners ; Act. When the matter--was mentioned last week,--it was 'slated that the action was Hid'result ofa .letter sent by,, Mr. Pullen to another solicitor.., A- desire was also, expressed that the'case should be dea.lt. with as soon, as possible, as the.'anxioty: appeared to be having a.detrimental effect, upon the defendant's health. Mr. C. P. Skcrrett, K.C., who brought the matter up' yesterday,. said that Mr. Earle, of Auckland, for'the defendant, had asked him to inquire whether tho Court could deal ■.' with the case within the next fortnight. '; It was intimated from the bench that application for a date might be made next Friday, when the Court will resumo to ; deliver judgments.
