TWO RECENT JUDGMENTS. MR. BARNES RALLIES THE TRADE UNIONISTS. FREE TRADE NO BENEFIT. By Telegraph—Press Association—OopyrieM. (Rec. October 24, 9.50 p.m.) London, October 24. Mr. G. N. Barnes, Chairman of the Parliamentary Labour party, in a speech at Brighouse, Yorkshire, said the House of Lords in its Taff Valo judgment of 1001 had interfered with the organisation of Labour on its industrial side, and now the Osborne judgment of 1909 interfered with - the organisation of Labour on ito political side. This was of infinitely greater importance. Trade unionism, declared Mr. Barnes, was not played out. The, workers owed all their improvement to trade unionism, and not to Free-trade, as tho Liberals had endeavoured to persuade them was the case. SCOTCH LIBERAL VIEWS. PAYMENT TO MEMBERS URGED. (Rec.
