The steamor Strathclyde of 441T tons, Captain Watt, arrived a* Wellington from Now York, via Auckland, on August 22 with genoral cargo. Sbo left here on August 24 for Lyttelton and Dunedin, and from thp latlor port procoeded to to load coal for Valparaiso. The coal port was left on Saturday 18. The Strathclydo is a steel-screw steamer of tho spar-deck typo, and was huilt by the Grangemouth and Groonock Dockyard Co., Grconock, in 1906, to the order of the Stralhclydo S.S. Company, Ltd., Glasgow. Sho is 370 ft. Jong, o2ft. beam, and draws ITJft, wstw when loaded.
