A BROKEN RUDDER.
STEAMER ADRIFT FOR THREE WEEKS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association;) Christchurch, October 23. The steamer StrathclydeJ which left Newcastle on September 16 with a cargo of coal for South America, arrived at Lyttelton to-day, having been adrift for three weeks. with a broken rudder. She managed to crawl back, to; the New Zealand coast with the aid of 1 a jury rudder.
