"and Malcolm) have been engaged for some little time, is assuming tangible form, and daily increasing in height. .'■; '■..-' . ;■'; The ..present .height of the tower is 88; feet above; the Grey: Street level;; The": stonework will be: carried up for' a further -12' feet; making.a total height' of 130 feet ,.m the; stonework. ■' -•' Above,' this .will. : be' the: copper-shingled dome, 10 feet in height, and this; will .bo.'surmou'nted'.by, a;'-flagpole. .:-.The' total height-to .the-'top of,.the, fligpole: will be 152. feet from' the' Grey-Street level, and Hi. feet; front : tho' Queen ; Street level. The foot of the clock face, which will have a diameter "of 9 feet,' will be reached.in another, 11 feet. The stonework of the--tower will bo rectangular in form to a point beyond; tho. top of the clock face, where it will develop into an octagon.. It is 18.feet squaro at .the base, and will gradually batter to about 17 feet square at the. -com-, mencement .of tlje octagon.
