THE BALLOON RACE.
"MOON FALLS FROM THE. SKY." TERRIFIED INDIANS. By Tolcera-ph-Press Assooiatloii-Oonyriirhk.' (Rec. October 22, 0.15 a.m.) Ottawa, October 21. In the international balloon race from St. Louis Colonel Shaeck, aboard tho Helvetia, landed at Villa Maria, Quebec, having covered-\ a distance of 1100 miles from St. Louis. Three other balloons,are over Canada. The Hamburg 111 fell into Lake Tujoising,: from a height of 6000 feot. Lieutenant Vogt and Heir Asman, who were aboard, swam to an" - island where they remained all night. Herr. Asman's arm was broken. Two Indians, believing that tho moon had fallen from tho sky, came with their boats, and after some difficulty were induced to rescue the two aeronauts. I The balloon was saved by Lieutenant Vogt towing it and swimming to the island.
