October 21, 9.45 p.m.) London, October 21, On the anniversary ; of the Battle of Trafalgar to-day, Nelson's Column was decorated with laurel : festoons, and many wreaths; including some from the descendants of officers who fell at Trafalgar; and also from the Colonial Navy' Leagues. NEW ZEALAND CELEBRATIONS. Trafalgar Day was in Wellington yesterday jn a very,quiet manner. Various buildings in the city and vessels in the harbour; were decorated with bunting. ...-■■■. Trafalgar Day was celebrated here by a gathering of children of various sohools, and the general public in the domain rn tho afternoon, when a number of special addresses wore delivered. A banquet was held in tho evening. Professor Blunt, of Canterbury College, was the principal speaker at both functions, which woro organised by the local branch of the Navy League
