SEMBRICH ATTACKED.
A message received in Australia by cablo last week, froth Lausanne, Switzerland, says that Mmo. Sembrich, the wellknown operatic prima donna, narrowly escaped death at her villa in that town. A man, who, presumably, entered the House for the purpose of robbery, attacked Mme. Sembrich's companion, Fraulein Meihe, who is known in American theatrical circles as Freda. The attack took place in [ the grounds of the villa, and when tho prima donna rushed to the assistance of her friend she was murderously . handled. The assailant escaped.
