THE WATER-POWER PROPOSALS.
Sir,—ln your report on the debato on tlio Water Power Works scheme, I notice that Sir Joseph Ward, in replying to criticisms of Mr. Black's regarding tlio lengthy of transmission lines, says that in Norway , energy is transmitted 1 138 miles.and 12G miles. As I believe that these figures have been taken from some which I gave in a letter which' appeared in your issue of October 17, I should like to point out that there has been a misunderstanding regarding tliem. Tlio figures which I gave ivere the total lengths of . lines radiating from tlio power stations.''There are'several. outgoing lines from each station, and none of them exceed 50 miles in length, my figures being the totals of all the lines.—l am, etc., • ,W. LANCELOT MOORE.
