TWO' LIGHT-FINGERED ■ : STEWARDS: George Everitt and Henry Dayies were charged-that on October 18, 1910, at Wellington,, being servants :of. the New Zealand Shipping Company, employed on. the s.s. Ruahine, they did', steal, one ddzen tennis balls, one pack of cards, twp white shirts, one nair of braces, and one alarum; clock, of tho total value of 11s.. Each accused pleaded guilty.-.--Chief Detective Brober's stated that.the. accused were -third-class"stewards : on the Ruahine, andi the property, mentioned m; : the information had/been taken, from passengers' luggage. 1 .The whole .of the stolen articles had been recovered.'
