CONOLUDED. , The adjouined inquest in connection with fl» death of Bavldon Ewen, an accountant, who committed suicide at his residence in Elizabeth Street last Saturday, was-reopened before Mr. W. R. , Haselden, ; coroner, . yesterday morning. ■ . ,■:'/-, - ■ , ', ; , , ' Mrs. Ewen, >wife of deceased, stated that, for some time past, deceased had not been in good health, and had recently suffered from insomnia; which brought on a fit of 'He was last omployed in the office of the Official Assignee.- He was in a comfortable position, financially, was a total abstamer, - and ' smoked but little. __ On Saturday morning,; she asked him if he would like to go out for a walk witii her, and deceased replied that to would. While she was dressing, her husband went into the bathroom;-.and, a little lateT, she discovered.,him_ there with a fatal wound. ' , ', ■ '. .'■ ■ . The verdict, returned' was suicide whilst temporarily insane.
John Gooch, residing -m Brougham Street, was admitted to the hospital yesterday, suffering from a fractured ankle-the result ot .a bicycle accident.
