Tho Berta was wrecked ou the Pratas shoal, in the China Sea, about 220 miles south-east of Hong-Kong, while en Touto to Hakodate, Japan. She was blown on to. a reef gale, and is a total wreok. The crew took' to the boat, and wero drifting for three days. They wero in short supply of food, and their water was in bad condition when they were rescued. The castaways were landed at Manila.
