Tho returns in the elections for tho New South Wales Parliament are still incomplete, but the latest figures show that a Labour victory is probable.
The position may be summed up as follows: Of the 90 seats in the Legislative Assombly, the Labour party has won 44, and the Liberals 38. '-
This gives the Labour party a majority of six votes, but there are still eight returns to be accounted for, which may possibly turn the scale.
Mr. Hogue, Minister for Education, and Mr. Oakes, an 'honorary Minister,' have both been'defeated -by Labour candidates,' whilo the positions of Mr. Moore, Minister, for Lands, is insecure. .. ■ ■
The Local Option poll is very incomplete, but it. is reported that one-Sydney suburb; Petersham, has voted No-License, and that Reduction has been carried in six electorates.
