. TORT NICHOLSON CLUB. . The annual general meeting of members of tho Port Nicholson Amateur Athletic Club was held' last night,' Mr. A. Davies presiding. .The annual report. and balance-sheet were,adopted.; It was decided to 1 apply to tho .Wellington Centre for the first Saturday in February for a sports' meeting , on tho Basin Reserve. A letter was received from the Wellington Centre, N.Z.A.A.A. asking -for. the club's opinion of tho 'suggestion to make an annual levy on club members to raiso funds to send representatives, to tiie Marathon games as. they come, round. • • . .- Mr. A. C. Kitto moved,that the matter be left for tho incoming - committee to decide! Mr. A. W. 0. Travers moved, as an amendment, that, in -the opinion of this club, the various clubs ' affiliated to. the N.Z.A.A.A.' shall contribute annually £1 and harriers' clubs annually 10s. towards a fund for-sending representatives to tho Marathon games. This was carried. . . ' . Votes of thanks.were passed to tho secretary and to tho treasurer for their efforts in tho interests of the club during tho past season. It was decided to forward a letter of thanks to Mr. T.' W. Leslie for his services as starter to tho club since its formation. In connection with the sports meeting held for tho Hospital Benefit in.
