Atlantic shipments, 141,000 quarters; Pacific, 50,000. Tho total shipments to Europe amount to 1,865,000 quarters, including 64,000 quarters from , Argentina,. 820,000 from Russia,. 490,000 from the Danubian provinces, 140,000 from India, and 40,000 from Australasia. Christcliurch, October 12. Busiuess in the grain market is confined to the purchaso of odd lines of wheat for shipping purposes. The limit of price is chiefly 3s. at country, stations, and an occasional lot of better quality makes Js. 2d. for milling or shipping.; A • line each of Tuscan and hunters, totalling 2100 bushels, have been taken at the former figure, and good milling pearl and hunters at' 3s.' :2d. The, millers are. only-purchasing odd lots to keep up their stocks,; and. there is no. general thdir part. } . Oats are'inquired, for, but very few arq offering.
